Cooking with Cricut Blogaversary Celebration Day 2

Hello everyone and welcome to Day 2 of our week-long Cooking with Cricut Blogaversary celebration! Today we are showcasing creations that feature pearls in one form or another. I created my card by printing the background paper and the flower from the Vintage Papers Imagine cartridge.  I cut the flower from the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge. (If you would like to purchase this fabulous cartridge, click  HERE!  I inked the edges of the background paper and the flower.  I used Liquid Pearls for my pearl accents. I absolutely LOVE how the Liquid Pearls look when they dry! They are just perfect and come in all kinds of colors! Here is a close-up of the flower. I did a dot of Liquid Pearls in the center, as well. Thanks for stopping by today and remember that you have a chance to win some great prizes this week just for playing along - so head over to  COOKING WITH CRICUT  to link up your own creation in this challenge!  Remember to stop by  COOKING WITH CRIC

Mother's Day Centerpiece

Hello everyone! Today is my turn again to share with you all and everyone over at  SHE'S A SASSY LADY ! I am continuing the post I started yesterday because I thought it would be really helpful to show, in detail, how the giant flowers go together. They are soooo cool! Here is my finished project using Giant Flowers, Florals Embellished, Elegant Edges and Sweethearts: I started with the Giant Flowers cartridge and cut the Lotus flower at 6.5".  There are lots of petals to cut to make this flower, but the instructions in the cartridge booklet are very clear on how many to cut of each kind of petal and exactly where they all fit into the base. My Gypsy made this project so much easier since I can name each layer that I am cutting. I simply filled mats with each different type of petal and named that layer however many I would need to cut of that petal.  For example: If I needed 12 of a particular petal, that name of that layer is CUT 12. Hopefully you can see

Here is the finished flower before adding the center pieces: I actually thought I was done with it at this point but decided to take it a step further by adding the Mother's Day signs! To find out even more details about this project, check back here on Thursday for the lengthy instructions on how the giant flowers go together and a great way to organi

Cooking With Cricut Challenge #84 - Teacher Appreciation Projects

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Welcome to another fun challenge over at  COOKING WITH CRICUT  ! This week's challenge is all about teachers! We all made something that we could give to a special teacher in our lives.  I chose a home decor piece - a frame that I took the glass out of and framed a sentiment. My particular project doesn't have a school "feel" to it so it could easily be adapted to a different special someone who isn't a teacher. I used the Florals Embellished Cricut cartridge and cut this and the layer at 4.18". I wrapped some lace ribbon around the backing before putting it back in the frame, tied a bow and stuck some stick pins through the bow and glued some paper flowers to them. Easy, huh? :-)  I embellished the frame, the image and the paper flowers with Stickles and Liquid Pearls! I use these all the time!  Here are some close-ups: Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to head over to  COOKING WITH CRICUT  to link up you
