Cooking with Cricut - Challenge #92 It's Hot Outside!!

Happy Summer, everyone!! Whew! Here in Texas, it's HOT!!! Like 106 degrees, HOT! Welcome to another challenge Wednesday at  COOKING WITH CRICUT  ! Today's theme is all about celebrating fun things to do in and around water! I chose to do a two-page layout to feature pics from a trip to the Water Park.  I used the H20 seasonal cricut cartridge.  This cartridge is a fantastic summer cartridge! Here are my completed layouts: Now for some close-ups and more details! I cut the water slide at 11.59" which is what my Cricut sized it to when I did fit-to-page. The bottom layer is blue Coordinations canvas texture card stock and the top layer is Coordinations glitter paper.  You will notice throughout these layouts that it appears that there is water splashed on the pages...... that is CTMH's Liquid Glass! I love that stuff!!! It is the perfect product for this project!! If you don't have a CTMH consultant, and would like to purchase this product or any oth

Welcome to the CookingWithCricut.com and PaperCraftingWorld.com Designers June Blog Hop. Get ready for two days of great projects with each day showcasing different designers and projects. If you have come from Suzanne's Blog then you are moving along. If you would like to start from the beginning, please head over to COOKING WITH CRICUT . This month our hop theme is all about Birthdays and one special one in mind. Our wonderful DT Coordinator Jen Hudson’s birthday just happened to fall on Saturday so we decided to make birthday inspired projects with a “Jen” theme in mind. Our go to gal is a die-hard Florida Gator Fan. So we decided to use elements on our projects that reflected Our GATOR FOR LIFE Gal’s FANCY;  Florida, The Florida Gators and anything that would make you think of the Sunshine State. Jen is the last on our blog line up so be sure to hop through and leave her some extra special love at the end! When I think of The Sunshine State, I think of vacation so

June Calendar Page

Hello everyone!! I'm here today to share a simple calendar page with you and all of my friends over at SHE'S A SASSY LADY  .  (If you remember, I did a post over there just last week because I goofed and thought my Thursday was last week! It actually worked out best for Sheila that way so I offered to share another project this week!)  Thank you, Sheila for being so gracious and I'm so glad I could help! :-)   If you have seen any of my previous posts, you probably know that I do a different calendar page each month to showcase on my fridge and then add it to my scrapbook in front of all the pics I took that month.  This month, I decided to show how you can make a calendar grid if you don't have the Designer's Calendar cartridge.  Here is my finished page: Let's break it down a bit. To make my grid, I used my Gypsy, (forgot to take a pic of my screen), and lined up 35 - 1.5"squares to form my calendar. The squares I used are from Art Philoso

Cooking With Cricut Challenge #90 - Father's Day Gift Ideas

Hello everyone and welcome to another COOKING WITH CRICUT  Challenge Wednesday! This week we all created Father's Day gifts - no cards! I chose to make a little centerpiece using the Father's Day seasonal Cricut cartridge and the DCWV Guy Stack. To give you some perspective of the size of this centerpiece, the glass vase is about 4" tall.  I attached my die-cuts to wood skewers. This is a simple project, but one that can really add some pizazz to your Father's Day table! :-) Be sure to head over to  COOKING WITH CRICUT  to link up your own Father's Day project for a chance to win a great prize!! Thanks for stopping by today - now, go create something beautiful!!

It All Started With a File Folder

Hello everyone! Today I'm sharing a project that I am so excited about!! I'm sharing this over at SHE'S A SASSY LADY  too! Please, check out her awesome blog that has new projects featured everyday!   If you have tuned in lately to  My Craft Channel  , you have probably seen Heidi Swapp's Create to Remember shows! They are so full of great ideas and projects! She has a new product called Memory Files and they are simply decked-out file folders! :-)  I had so much fun embellishing my project and I am quite certain that I will probably be adding even more before I call it done! :-) Here is what I started with: A plain, standard-size file folder THIS  is what I ended up with: This has to be one of my favorite projects yet! :-) I will be giving it to my husband for Father's Day - that is, if I can wait that long! :-) So, in a nutshell, here is how you put something like this together: I used the DCWV Heirloom stack to cover my folder - fron
